Passengers arriving at Johannesburg International Airport will be met by a Springbok Atlas representative and transferred to their hotel in Sandton, a suburb of Johannesburg. The rest of the day is at leisure. (unescorted) Overnight in Sandton.
An early departure from Johannesburg, travelling eastward toward the famous Blyde River (Happy River) Canyon. ± 15 km after Witbank (Middelburg) we have our first stop. We continue, and at the small town of Belfast, we turn off the national road passing through the town, famous for its sheep & trout farming. We pass through the little village of Dullstroom and travel towards Lydenburg, stopping here for lunch (optional and for own account). Depart Lydenburg for the Three Rondawels for a scenic stop. Arrive at the Three Rondawels - South Africa’s 2nd most photographed natural phenomenon after Table Mountain. Depart for God’s Window travelling through Eucalyptus and Pine plantations. Arrive at God’s Window for a view of the edge of the escarpment taking in the Kruger National Park and the huge plantations of the so-called Lowveld. Continue towards Graskop, starting our descent of the plateau. Arrive in Hazyview for your overnight stay.
Coach departs the hotel for Kruger National Park with all the passengers for an early morning game drive taken in a Springbok Atlas coach. Arrive at gates and proceed into the park and enjoy a game drive (in the coach) through the park. There is a stop to enjoy a packed breakfast. Proceed through the park in the coach, & continue to Malelane Sun. Arrive Malelane Sun for lunch (optional and for own account). Afternoon at leisure or take an open vehicle game drive (for pax own account) to experience the “smells and sounds” of the bush.

This morning passengers are met at Malelane Sun Hotel for an open vehicle game drive in the Kruger National Park. In this world famous reserve we should encounter the full spectrum of wildlife - from “the Big Five” to insects and sunbirds. There is a stop to enjoy breakfast. Depart for Malelane Sun while enjoying a game drive. Arrive at Malelane Sun in time for lunch – optional and for own account. Afternoon at leisure or enjoy an open vehicle game drive (optional and for own account). Malelane Sun Hotel or similar for dinner and overnight.
After an early breakfast, we depart Malelane and enter the Kingdom of Swaziland and travel through beautiful countryside (plantations). Stop at Komati valley look-out point for scenic photo opportunity. Depart and travel along hilly road. Visit the Ngwenya glass factory en route. There is time to explore the factory through the viewing deck where you can watch the local craftsmen at work. There is also a shop where you can buy various products. We visit a candle factory where Swazi wax artists make beautiful candles. Depart candle factory for your hotel. Arrive in the beautiful Ezulwini Valley and check in to your hotel with an opportunity to enjoy lunch (optional and for own account). The rest of the afternoon is at leisure, with an opportunity to visit a craft market. Activities offered at your hotel: golf, health spa, swimming, tennis, squash, casino, hot water springs nearby. Overnight in Swaziland.
After breakfast we depart the Royal Swazi and travel southwards towards the border.
Just after Big Bend there is a refreshment stop at Riverside before the Swazi-Zululand border crossing
Enter northern Zululand. We arrive at Dumazulu/Vula Zulu/Shakaland for a presentation of Zulu culture, dancing and lunch (included). Arrive at Hluhluwe Gate. Drive to Hilltop Rest Camp or (Ithala) in Hluhluwe Game Reserve for overnight stay. Passengers will either enjoy a night drive or an early morning game drive – depending on Reserve’s management. Dinner and overnight at Hluhluwe or Ithala.
Begin the day with an early morning game drive in the Game Reserve and possibly encounter the square lipped (white) rhino along with a wide variety of other animals and bird species. Finish game drive and enjoy breakfast. Depart the game reserve and continue towards Durban. En route we pass traditional Zulu kraals, Eucalyptus plantations and sugar cane fields. Optional (for own account) lunch stop in Umhlanga Rocks en-route to Durban. Arrive in Durban and check into your hotel. The rest of the late afternoon and evening is at leisure. Overnight in Durban
Today is a day at leisure to enjoy the beautiful beaches and explore the markets or perhaps take a day tour (optional & for own account).
You are transferred from your hotel for Durban International airport for your flight to Port Elizabeth.
On arrival, You are transferred to your hotel where the rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Port Elizabeth.'
Depart Port Elizabeth and head westwards, towards the Tsitsikamma Mountains and indigenous forests.
Refreshment stop at Storms River Bridge. Viewpoint, Curio shop, walk on bridge, restrooms, auto bank. Drive through Tsitsikamma Forest, stop and walk to Big Tree and view the fallen tree. Continue and stop at Blaauwkrantz Bridge viewpoint to watch the Bungi jumping. Continue en route and stop at Groot River Pass in Nature’s Valley for photo opportunities. Arrive in Knysna, check into your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the area. Overnight in Knysna.
After breakfast depart to enjoy a cruise and walk. Board Ferry for cruise to the Featherbed Nature Reserve and enjoy a trailer ride to the top of the Western Head, returning for lunch (included) under the Milkwood trees. Coach to collect passengers and transfer to hotel for your overnight stay. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Knysna.
Depart for Oudtshoorn (via the Outeniqua Pass) with a photo stop at Dolphin Point. Visit an Ostrich Farm for a tour and a visit to the curio shop. There is time for lunch (optional & own account). Depart the Ostrich farm for the Cango Caves for a tour, exploring the vast limestone caverns known as the Cango Caves. Depart the Caves for your hotel in Oudtshoorn. Arrive at your hotel. Check in. Dinner at Hotel.
After breakfast travel through the 'Little Karoo towards Cape Town via Ladismith and the Huisrivier Pass, stopping briefly at a viewpoint on the pass. Arrive at Ladismith for a refreshment stop before departing for Montagu via Barrydale and arrive in time for lunch (optional & for own account). Depart Montagu and continue to Cape Town via Worcester. Arrive in Worcester for a quick comfort stop before continuing to Cape Town via the Du Toits Kloof Pass. Time permitting, there is a stop at a viewpoint on the pass. Arrive in Cape Town late afternoon. The rest of your day is at leisure. (Unescorted) Overnight in Cape Town.
