Bushmen Community, Okavango Delta, Delta Sunsets, Chobe National Park, Victoria Falls
Experience endless adventure in Victoria Falls, sundowners on the Chobe River, Okavango Delta mokoro trips and tribal San dancing before arriving in Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia.
Day 1 - Zimbabwe – Victoria Falls – Botswana – Kasane
Stand beside the “smoke that thunders” watching and listening as the roar of 546 m³ of water, minute by minute, plunges down into a 100 m deep gorge below. Besides the falls themselves there are numerous land and water based activities to keep you busy for a day or two prior to your tour beginning.
Day 2 - Kasane – Botswana
Established in 1968, the Chobe National Park covers approximately 11700 sq kms, encompassing floodplains, swamps and woodland. Take advantage of your time here by enjoying a game drive through the park, in search of vast herd of elephants and a multitude of antelope including the rare sable.
Day 3 - Gateway to the Delta
Today we enter Namibia and travel through the Caprivi Strip, crossing three national parks en-route to our next destination. A beautiful sunset awaits us at our camp situated on the panhandle of the delta. Please note: If you have not purchased the Activity Package you will stay behind at the accommodation during the Delta Excursion on the next two following days.
Day 4 - Gateway to the Delta
This morning we journey to our Delta camp. For those who will be embarking on the Okavango Delta Excursion, the next 3 days will be filled with scenic cruises on the crystal clear waters of the Okavango and nature walks, where we have the possibility of seeing some of the abundant wildlife.
Day 5 - Okavango Delta
An early start sees us head off winding waterways of the Delta, where water lily beds and palm islands make for the most scenic of experiences.
Day 6 - Okavango Delta
Today we bid farewell to the Delta, taking a boat transfer out to reunite with our truck before heading down to Maun. We will spend the night in Maun, reliving our Delta experience.
Day 7 – Ghanzi
We depart early and head towards Ghanzi. Once at camp we will meet with a local Bushmen community and experience some traditional Tribal Dancing. There are also some traditional bushman huts that you have the opportunity to stay in for a nominal fee.
Day 8 – Windhoek
Windhoek is not only the capital; it is also the cultural, social and economic centre of Namibia. On arrival in Windhoek our guide will take us on a short city tour in our truck. Your tour ends on arrival in Windhoek, but it is nice to join the group for a final meal out at Joe’s Beer House, an exciting dining experience! You can book your post tour accommodation through your travel agent or Nomad.
