Ocean Blue Adventures, is the original company in South Africa to conduct professional conservation orientated whale and dolphin marine eco-tours. Ocean Blue Adventure's aim is to give a holistic real marine experience to all its guests aimed at raising awareness of Marine Mammal Conservation and the dire need to realistically conserve the oceans which include : Whale, Dolphins and Seals, Pelagic and other Seabirds, Sharks and Fish, Local Geology, Maritime and Local History.
Keurbooms River Ferries abide by the rules of Western Cape Nature Conservation as a river cruise operator. The ferries are registered with the South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA) and abide by all the laws and regulations regarding safety equipment on board. All the skippers are SAMSA qualified. All guides are SATOUR registered and have undergone a training sessions with Cape Nature Conservation. All ferries are fully insured with public liability. The crewmember have undergone a valid First Aid Training Course. Each ferry has a carrying capacity of 30 people. Cash bar facility on board. River ferries depart 6km from Plettenberg Bay. Records show that we see more species and more animals than any other operator in the country...no wonder the Garden Route is becoming the "Whale & Dolphin Capital of South Africa"! Our officially licensed boats are allowed within 50m of whales....nothing short of spectacular! Scheduled cruises depart daily from Knysna and Plettenberg Bay. We also offer seal cage diving alongside our resident seal colony on the Robberg Nature Reserve. Working in association with the Centre for Dolphin Studies, cruises operate according to a strict code of conduct, with emphasis placed on responsible tourism, professional service and the ultimate marine experience. KNYSNA ELEPHANT PARK
Experience the famous Knysna forest alongside our African elephants. A 2-hour guided nature walk through the fynbos, down into the valley and through stunning indigenous and exotic forests at ‘elephant pace’. Guests will have the opportunity to sit on one of our elephants, a thrilling experience on it’s own. Upon return guests will enjoy a hearty breakfast (Sunrise Safari) or light snacks and refreshments (Sunset Safari) at Askaris restaurant.
