Day 1 Nairobi – Arusha
We leave Nairobi early and cross the border for Tanzania, arriving at our camp outside Arusha, we settle in to camp and get to know each other and the vehicle.
Day 2/3 Serengeti - Ngorongoro
There are many options available to explore the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, from a one-day trip, to a three-day trip. We give you every opportunity to match the activity to your budget. For those not going to the parks, take this opportunity to absorb some of the fascinating local culture. Optional Activities: Serengeti/Ngorongoro Excursion.
Day 4/5 Arusha - Dar es Salaam
Camp B,L,D (B, L Day 5 only)
Getting together again after our various game viewing activities in the game parks, we spend our night exchanging 'big game' stories around the campfire. The groups normally return from the Serengeti excursion late in the afternoon. The following day we drive south towards the Indian Ocean and the historical port city of Dar es Salaam.
Day 6/7/8 Zanzibar

A transfer by ferry takes us to Zanzibar where we will spend the next few days exploring this fascinating island with its renowned architecture, beautiful beaches, colourful people and history. The excursion is at your own expense so you can choose exactly how luxurious, or basic, your experience will be on the magical spice Island. Optional Activities: Zanzibar Excursion: Ferry, Food, Accommodation, Spice Tours, Dolphin Tours, Scuba Diving, Snorkeling.
Day 9/10 Zanzibar-Dar es Salaam-Iringa

Today we leave Zanzibar and catch a late ferry (or flight) back to Dar es Salaam and return to our campsite. Early the next day we head away from the coast and take the climbing road into the mountains to our next camp near Iringa.
Day 11/12/13/14 Malawi - North/Central
We make the border crossing out of Tanzania. Leaving Iringa behind us, and head for our first night in Malawi. Our destination is the northern part of Lake Malawi, close to the Livingstonia Mountains where we will relax for the next two days. Take a stroll through the nearby craft market with the friendly people of Malawi or take a hike into the mountains if the weather is favourable. We continue a short way further along the central part of the lake. For the more adventurous there are endless leisure and water sport activities. Alternatively, soak up the atmosphere and relax in one of the most scenic holiday destinations in Africa! The evenings are spent beside its tranquil waters. Optional Activities: Scuba Diving, Parasailing, Windsurfing, Fishing, Canoeing, Horse Riding, Craft Shopping and many more.
Day 15 Luwawa Forest
We head for the Luwawa Forest, above the Great Rift Valley. You will remember this indigenous forest region for its magnificent scenery. A hike through the forest may reward you with a glimpse of some of its secretive wildlife. Optional Activities: Fishing, Mountain Biking.
Day 16/17 Zambia - South Luangwa National Park
We drive from Luwawa Forest to the South Luangwa National Park where we will spend two nights on the banks of the river. The second day is put aside for activities, you can choose between a morning or night game drive and a guided game walk accompanied by a professional local guide. If the South Luangwa NP is not for you then relax by the pool. On occasion in the rainy season it is impossible or inadvisable to attempt to reach South Luangwa NP, if this happens then an alternative itinerary will be chosen. Optional Activities: Game Drive, Night Drive and Game Walk in South Luangwa NP.
Day 18 Luangwa River
We sadly leave the wonderful South Luangwa NP to spend some relaxing time in a remote part of Zambia. This is an interesting area full of friendly locals and a walk along the river is a rewarding experience.
Day 19 Lusaka
Our journey towards the bustling Zambian capital of Lusaka takes us along an interesting route. If we arrive early enough to explore the local markets we will certainly enjoy this opportunity. We enjoy the evening relaxing after our long drive.
Day 20/21 Zambia - Victoria Falls

Arriving at our destination of Livingstone, we have enough time to visit the Falls. The popular optional sunset cruise includes dinner and drinks. Most people will spend the second day in Livingstone white water rafting, a not-to-be-missed experience of a lifetime! Vic Falls offers many exciting alternatives. This evening in Livingstone can be spent together as a group at a local restaurant, recounting our tour experiences and adventures. Optional Activities: White Water Rafting, Zambezi Sunset Cruise, Bungee Jump, Elephant Excursion.
Day 22 Zambia - Livingstone
Camp – no meals
On arrival your guide will brief you on the next few days. Most clients spend the day enjoying the exciting optional activities on offer. The Victoria Falls is 1, 7 kilometers wide has a height of about 128m. The Falls is a not to be missed experience and will leave lasting memories. In the late afternoon we recommend the popular optional sunset cruise that includes dinner and drinks. Optional Activities: Zambezi Sunset Cruise, Victoria Falls.
Day 23 Botswana - Chobe National Park
Today we take a short drive across the Botswana to Kasane, located on the banks of the Chobe River. Apart from being the 2nd biggest National Park in Botswana, Chobe National Park is renowned for it’s high population of migratory elephants. The afternoon river cruise is included in the tour price and many people take the chance to go on the optional morning game drive the following morning. Optional Activities: Chobe Game Drive.
Day 24 Namibia - Caprivi National Park
We leave Chobe behind us and into Namibia. We travel through the Caprivi National Park en-route to our destination beside the Zambezi River. The Caprivi National Park is home to 450 animal species. Animals travel freely across the border with Botswana where the Chobe National Park lies. We spend the night relaxing next to this mighty river.
Day 25/26 Okavango Delta
We arrive in the afternoon where we leave our truck behind, and head into the Delta. We arrive at our base for the next two days. During our time in the Delta we enjoy the best nature has to offer. We go on nature walks and explore the Delta by mokoro. The Delta is truly spectacular and unforgettable experience.
Day 27 Scenic Flight
We begin the morning with a scenic flight from the northern Delta to Maun where we will meet up with the truck again and then travel towards Palapye, previously know as Phalatswe, where we’ll spend our first night. Palapye is located on the banks of the Lotsane River.
Day 28 Johannesburg
Tour Ends. Own arrangements B,L
Today we cross the border into South Africa and after quite a long, yet scenic, drive we will arrive in Johannesburg. South Africa’s city of gold has much to offer and should not be underestimated as a travel destination. There are many excellent restaurants here where we can enjoy a final meal together.
