This was our second stay at Ilha Azul, and Maria and her team ensured that this stay was just as memorable as the first. The house and it's facilities are exceptional, as well as the staff. The level of service is out of this world, and the location of the house is magnificent. The garden is tranquil very well looked after, with lots of little chill areas - nothing beats an afternoon nap in a hammoc. The pool makes it hard to leave the property, and this is the most ideal house to spend a peaceful holiday in. Will be back every year.

Home away from home !! Spent a week there in July, House comfortably accommodated 16 of us, everything you need, on hand.Spotless. Staff are excellent and friendly. Will definitely be back. Fantastic value for money.

We were a group of 16 adults made up of 4 couples and our adult children. This group does a yearly getaway and this year it was Ponta Do Ouro. It was the best choice according to some of them in the group who had been to Mozambique for the first time. The set up of Ilha Azul was perfect with a getaway pad upstairs for the younger ones. When the “oldies” were ready for bed, the kids took their party upstairs and carried on till the wee hours of the morning. The staff were absolutely fantastic; ever so obliging. The house was well equipped with more than enough crockery and cutlery. It was very neat with enough bathroom facilities. My recommendation though would be for the house to provide bath towels. The front garden and pool was amazing and we enjoyed many hours there sipping on R & R’s. The owner, Maria was absolutely superb. Although, she wasn’t on the premises, she obviously heard from the staff that we had arrived and she called to welcome us to Ponta. She called every day subsequently to check if we were comfortable and if we were in need of anything. This little gesture meant a great deal to all of us. All 16 of us will gladly recommend Ilha Azul to anyone wishing to visit Ponta Do Ouro.

Ilha Azul House is an absolute winner, what a lovely house, the cleaning crew were like little fairies that came in when we were out for the day so we came back to a spotless house, the pool area and gardens are lovely, closed off and so private, almost no noise form Quad bikes etc… We will definitely be booking in to stay again next year but next year we’re planning to stay a whole week! Maria was lovely too, she called every day to check up on everything; the staff at the property was so helpful and really knowledgeable too which was great…
