Southern Camp offers 10 standard rooms. These include 4 family rooms catering for a maximum of two children under 12 per family room. All our standard rooms are equipped with an en-suite bathroom with shower only. Safe boxes and Coffee & Tea making facilities are standard in all rooms. The insect screens and air-conditioning will make the balmy summer evenings just so much more enjoyable.
Southern Camp Suites
Southern Camp also offers 15 Luxury Suites. En-suite and fully equipped with shower and baths, air-conditioning and a mini-bar fridge as a standard commodity. Lounge & Pool
Relax in the lounge with a good book or just sit back and indulge in the breathtaking beauty of mother nature in all her splendour. Alternatively you can lazily lounge around our magnificent pool and deck area and stare into the vast African yonder, hopefully spotting some of the many animals that often pass in close proximity. If the African sun becomes too much to bare, a dip in the refreshing water will bring immediate relief, and the friendly barman will be on hand to spoil you with a tantalising cocktail.
Dining
Breakfast and lunches are normally served in the dining room with open sides, so you will always have nature just a few meters away while enjoying tasteful culinary creations from our qualified chefs . Dinner is served in the traditional outside Boma, again with nature as the backdrop and a starlit sky overhead creating the perfect setting.
Southern Camp also boasts a fully equipped wine cellar where we stock only the finest wines from top South African vineyards in a perfectly humidified environment.

General Policies & Disclaimers
CHILDREN POLICY:
Children 0 – 2 years: Stay free of charge, Children 3 - 11 years: Pay 50% of the adult sharing rate when sharing a room with two adults. Of the 10 Standard Rooms, there are 4 family units that can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children under 12 years sharing.
Children under the age of 12 years are permitted on safari at the sole discretion of the manager or guide.Children under the age of 6 are not permitted on safari, and where possible, a kiddies safari will be arranged between normal safari times.
Baby sitting can be arrange at the lodge at an additional charge.
The lodge reserves the right to restrict one night stays over weekends, long weekends and Peak Periods.

Had the pleasure of four nights at Southern Camp in May - wonderful lodge experience with great food, but what really made the trip was of course the safari and we weren't disappointed! Over the course of our stay we saw the big five, cheetahs and many other smaller creatures and learnt so much from Mike and our tracker, who both displayed a real depth of knowledge and passion for the wildlife and conservation.

We stayed there for three nights and enjoyed the friendly, peaceful atmosphere and the game drives with Mike. He has got e terribly good knowledge of big and small game and the environment. This place is also a nice spot for private pilots because the runway is close the the lodge.

Here nothing is impossible. Local game drives every day. Possibility to go to Kruger. Personal welcoming and a private atmosphere. Exciting walks in the bush - guided by a professional. On top of it, an excellent cook. A warm hearted place with a relaxing atmosphere. To recommend.
