This recently built Zanzibar Resort is located on a white sandy beach in the small coastal town of Uroa. It’s nestled between lush coconut palms overlooking the Michamvi Peninsula and Chwaka Bay. Marumbi Beach Resort is a 40 minutes drive via the aromatic fruit and spice plantations from Airport and historic Stone Town. The restaurant is set under a big makuti roof, facing the ocean and serves delectable Italian and African cuisine. Every week there is a typical Zanzibar theme and gala dinner. Marumbi Beach Ora Resort is located in Uroa on the eastern central coast of the island of Zanzibar and is close to Marumbi, about 35 km from Stone Town airport and easily accessible, about 50 km, on asphalted roads. The Resort has just recently been built, using material that respects the surrounding context, keeping the African style, but with European kind of systems, in order to create a functional ambient, for giving the best service to clients. It’s distinguished by silence and tranquillity that surround it. It’s the ideal place for relaxing far from the rapturousness of the city.

Area Attractions

The hotel organizes various activities and games such as Beach Volleyball, Soccer, Lawn bowling, Beach Tennis. Also available to clients even mountain bikes. Opportunity to practice diving and snorkeling at the conventional center outside of the Resort, with Italian staff assistance. Opportunity to practice diving, snorkeling and kite surfing in the equipped diving centre, existent inside the Resort with Italian personnel. Available to clients also mountain bike and canoes. For Ora Resort clients loving boat rides and fishing, it is possible to hire boats for deep-sea fishing. In the waters surrounding the island you can find marlin, sail fish and many other species of fishes. Another pleasant way to live the sea is to be lead by fishermen along the reef, on typical local boats, the ingalawa, equipped with outriggers and Latin American sail.
