Pomene View Lodge is situated on a high ridge offering unique panoramic views of a pristine mangrove estuary and the warm Indian Ocean beyond. Accommodation is in the comfort of brick and imported South African thatch chalets which are fully equipped for self catering and serviced daily. ROOM DESCRIPTION: There is a double bed bedroom in each chalet with a large four-poster style mosquito net. There are bed side tables and built in cupboards. There are then 3 single open-plan beds. There is a spacious kitchenette with a standing fridge/deep freeze and two-plate stove as well as all the cutlery and crockery. The windows are made with gauze in order to provide a cool breeze in the hot summer months and the chalets are surrounded by beautiful msasa trees providing shade for outdoor barbecues.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION : Family owned and operated lodge situated on a high ridge overlooking a beautiful pristine mangrove estuary and the Indian Ocean. The lodge consists of SELF CATERING CHALETS: • Seven 5- sleeper chalets consisting of one double bedroom and 3 open plan singles; one 6-sleeper with two bedrooms and two open plan singles. • Fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, utensils, bedding, towels etc • Fridge and two plate gas stove (gas provided) • Mosquito nets provided • Chalets serviced daily • Own bathroom with hot water ACTIVITIES and AMENITIES: • Surf, rock and estuary fishing • Estuary launch for off-shore boats • Horse riding, quad bike trails, scuba diving all available at neighbouring lodge • Unspoiled beaches, sheltered swimming beach for children • Bar and Restaurant • Two swimming pools • Airstrip for private planes GENERATOR HOURS: 8am to 12 noon 5pm to 10pm

Directions To Pomene View Lodge

Take the N4 - past Witbank, Mbombela(Nelspruit) and all the way to the Komatipoort border. • Once through the Ressano Garcia border post, follow the main toll road to Maputo • As you enter Maputo proceed through the toll gate and shortly after take a left turn onto EN1 to Xai-Xai. This is the main coastal road north. • Pass Villages of Maracuene (28km), Manhica (75km), Macia (143km) and Chissano to the town of Xai-Xai 204km North of Maputo, this is a good place to re-fuel. • Continue on the North Coastal Road passing smaller villages and towns, including Chidenguele (262km), Quissico (392km) and Inharrime (372km). • From Inharrime continue for approximately 45km passing Cumbano which has a large radio mast on the left side of the road to LINDELA • Keep a look out for a sign board on your left saying LINDELA. • continue straight up the EN1 past the Lindela turnoff and pass through Maxixe • Massinga and continue for approximately10km. • Turnoff to Pomene is on right side • Dirt road and passes through the town of Rio das Pedros, then through the small village of Teveli • Pomene View Lodge is 50km from the main road (EN1).
