Selinda Camp is set on the banks of the eastern Selinda Spillway - the waterway linking Botswana's Okavango Delta and its Linyanti and Kwando systems. A relaxed, yet luxury tented safari camp, Selinda Camp was completely rebuilt in 2007. It re-opened to much acclaim, due in part to its harmonious blend of classic tented bush camp style and contemporary amenities. The shaded camp is raised a metre off the ground affording extraordinary views over the Selinda Reserve's prolific floodplains and savannas. Dotting the landscape is the ubiquitous borassus palm, where nesting birds roost and baboons spy. The extensive raised decks, surrounding both in the main lounge and the tents, allow guests to enjoy a meal or a relaxing afternoon while still enjoying wildlife viewing. There is a hardly a moment in camp where there isn't an animal in sight.

Early morning, late afternoon and evenings are the prime time - it's when the colors are vibrant, the sun is low and spirits are up. Setting out at dawn, when predators are active, our guides are as keen as the guests to discover the riches of each day in Selinda Reserve. Usually, once the sun is high and strong, we retreat with the herds to our mid-day resting post, Selinda Camp. Then, as the sun begins to wane again, we head out for the late afternoon to evening, searching for nocturnal wildlife and the action that comes with sunset. But nothing is regimented. Regimens don't suit Selinda, which is why we all love being out here in the first place. Our 2008 Toyota Land Cruisers have been specially designed by the Jouberts. The thoughtful engineering provides all-round visibility with removable canvas roofs, and comfortable bucket seats. These rugged, 4X4 vehicles provide access to all of the Selinda Reserve's diverse ecosystems, and do so with ease. Short walks from camp with our fully qualified guides are offered as well. Arrangements can be made with management on site, but should this activity need to be guaranteed, then we recommend arranging it in advance.
