The Blue Anchor Inn is a family run lodge ideally situated in Bobole on the main EN1 road about 50km north of Maputo, catering for both families and individuals who are looking for a secure, comfortable and affordable stop-over on their way up to Xai Xai, Inhambane and beyond. The Blue Anchor Inn has a bar facility as well as an a-la-carte restaurant that prides itself with good quality food specializing in fresh Mozambican fare like flat chicken, prawns, beef or prawn curry, juicy steak or some delicious home-made soup and salad if you prefer. Our motto is "Old Fashioned Hospitality" which we pride ourselves on constantly delivering on. The Blue Anchor Inn's accommodation is simple yet comfortable. We have a family cottage that sleeps six people as well as en-suite garden chalets with two double beds that are able to sleep four people. We also have double bed "Inn" style accommodation with rooms each having their own dedicated bathrooms. All the rooms are tastefully decorated, every bed is provided with a mosquito net and all the rooms are air-conditioned. The lodge and the chalets all have 24-hour mains electricity and all bathrooms of course have hot water. The lodge is located in a large secure garden with plenty of space for the kids to run about and stretch their legs after a long drive. We have a fresh water swimming pool perfect for a refreshing dip and there is also a trampoline and swing for the kids to burn off some energy on. Directions To Blue Anchor Inn

The Blue Anchor Inn is situated 50km north of Maputo on the EN1 North road. Take the Xai- Xai off-ramp just after the Maputo Toll Plaza and turn left onto the EN1. This road takes you to all the coastal destinations north of the capital city of Maputo. A scenic 50km up the EN1 you will discover the "Ultra-City Snack Bar" on your left. Look out for the “Blue Anchor Inn” sign directly after this. We are located just a short distance off the main road behind this - a great landmark is our plantation of bluegum trees lining the main road. When you spot these, slow down, you are at The Blue Anchor Inn.

Family Cottage - Blue Anchor Inn Our flagship “Family Cottage” sleeps 6 and is perfect for a large family or group. This is rented out as a complete and independant unit. Chalets - Blue Anchor Inn There are also various smaller chalets providing a selection of 2x double beds per chalet, 1x double bed per chalet, All our garden chalets have en-suite bathrooms. Main Building - Blue Anchor Inn The main building has “Inn” style rooms with dedicated bathrooms. All the rooms are tastefully decorated, with Mosquito nets and electric fans. All the chalets are located in a beautiful shady garden setting where there is plenty of space for the kids to work off the long journey and play safely. Blue Anchor Inn Restaurant The Blue Anchor Inn has a fully licensed restaurant that prides itself with its ambiance. The Restaurant has an a la carte menu which includes a variety of Mozambican delicacies including line fish, prawns, and the Blue Anchor Inn version of a "Surf and Turf". Lets not forget Lizzie's famous flat chicken with or without the Peri-Peri.
