Indlovu River Lodge has three ultra luxurious, self contained, uniquely individual chalets that stand tall and strong, as proud as the celebrated Kruger Park "great tusker" elephants after which they have been named. Shingwedzi, Shawu and Kambaku which are serviced daily, offer unique privacy. Indlovu River Lodge is a luxury family safari, providing discerning guests the affordability of having their own piece of tranquility in the African bush. The lodge is family owned and managed. Emphasis is on relaxation and other activities include game drives, bird watching as well as specific children activities and star gazing. Baby sitting service is available on request. With a choice in accommodation, Indlovu River Lodge can accommodate approximately 18 guests, ensuring extremely personalised service and attention to detail.

This double story thatched chalet is nestled among towering Jackelberry trees. Shawu has a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, two luxurious en-suite rooms and an elevated deck overlooking the river. A private pool shaded by indigenous shrubbery lets you relax and enjoy the African sun, the campfire facilities allows you to spend peaceful evenings enveloped in the nocturnal sounds of the bush. A true taste of African Bush-living for the whole family. A Private plunge pool with a panoramic view of the river and the mountains lets you laze away the long African days while keeping an eye out for game that might just happen to pass over the river.Upstairs we have a bedroom with a screened Victorian bath, air conditioning and private deck, while downstairs has it’s own bedroom with en-suite shower.The lounge and kitchen in classic African décor walks out onto the large deck overlooking the river- a perfect location for sundowners or those magnificent early-morning breakfasts.

Directions To Indlovu River Lodge

From Johannesburg / Pretoria Take the N4 to Witbank, Middelburg, Belfast, Dullstroom, Lydenburg and then to Ohrigstad. Go through the Strydom Tunnel. On the R36 between Hoedspruit and Tzaneen, you will find the lodge on the right hand side, coming from Ohrigstad.
