Area Attractions

Hwange National Park is the largest game reserve in Zimbabwe. It has been a park now for 70 years and, despite the concerted efforts of the gaming white man of the 19th century and local population pressures, has the densest concentration of wildlife in Africa.Great herds of buffalo and elephant graze upon the plains while the "big five" of game viewing are all gloriously on show.Shallow pans of natural salt-licks that thread the reserve and ultimately become small ponds prove ideal for cavorting elephants. Game drives take place both within the private reserve and into the adjacent Hwange National Park. Night drives on the private estate and visits to traditional villages in the nearby tribal area are also available, along with walking safaris which are available on request.
