Sanctuary Chiefs Camp is located in the Mombo Concession of the Okavango Delta within the Moremi Game Reserve. This area is famed for unbelievable predator interaction. The Mombo concession is well known to offer some of the best and most exciting game viewing in Africa. Sanctuary Chief’s Camp offers 12 luxury suites with has an en suite bathroom with inside and outside shower. Each room has a minibar and private deck. Meals are served in the expansive main area with a beautiful view of the Okavango. There is also complimentary wifi in the main area. Evenings are spent around a roaring fire listening to the sounds of the surrounding bush. There is a world class spa using Thalgo and Africology products.

Sanctuary Chiefs Camp Amenities

The camp, constructed on a greenfield site, is made up of 12 luxury bush pavilions. Each pavilion boasts a spacious seating area and private game viewing deck. En-suite facilities include an indoor and outdoor shower. Each room is equipped with a hairdryer, ceiling fan, in-room safe, emergency hand held radios and minibar. The main lodge complex houses the dining area, bar, curio shop, library and reception area. The main deck area is split-level and offers expansive views over the floodplain to the north. The lower level of the deck houses the swimming pool. There is a treatment room at the camp with a range of treatments using Thalgo and Africology products. Electricity is supplied by a silent generator system allowing 24-hour power supply.

Area Attractions

Apart from its predators, the area is also renowned for its large concentrations of plains-game, elephant and buffalo. Both white and black rhino were introduced here in 2001 and 2003 respectively. Game Drives Enjoy thrilling guided game drives lead by highly qualified professional guides in customised open 4 x 4 game viewing vehicles. Game drives are conducted early morning and late afternoon. Mokoro Safaris Explore the area up close at the gentle pace of a poled mokoro, a dug-out canoe, excursion (subject to water levels).
