Launched in January 2014, the 10-bed Sefapane River Lodge is located on the banks of the Olifants River in a private game reserve, which forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park. Elephant, Buffalo and Hippo are free-roaming residents around the unfenced lodge and the goal is to further open your eyes to the environment in which these magnificent beasts live. The guides pay attention to the detail of the bush and the rich biodiversity of the area and take time to educate the visitors in a casual setting about ecosystems, the geology hotspots, the birds, the insects, the botany, the animals and the sky. Sefapane River Lodge guests walk away with a memorable experience and a deeper understanding of nature and conservation in Africa.
