Accommodation at Villa Bahati & Villa Kikadini The accommodation standards have been kept the same through both villas and both have been built with local building materials such as coral rock and limestone with typical palm leave roofs. Villa Bahati is the main guesthouse. Offering 5 bedrooms which can be rented out individually or the option of the whole Villa. The rooms are located in the 1st floor and are built around a central courtyard, with inward facing doors. Each room symbolizes a main element of Zanzibarian culture and follows an individual and deliberately selected key colour that have been painted differently in earthy pastel colours and furnished with antique Zanzibarian furniture. All rooms are equipped with mosquito nets and ceiling fan as well as an en suite bathrooms that have been traditionally design in Moroccan style, with open showers 9hot and cold water) and finished off n a cloudy blue or cream wash on the walls. The 2nd floor is a huge, open sided terrace with dining area and daybeds overlooking the white sands and turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, the perfect place to retreat and enjoy breakfast or an evening drink. Villa Kikadini has been built in a mixture of Arabic styles which provides a magical atmosphere, offering 3 ground floor level bedrooms that have been built around a circular courtyard. The rooms are light, cool and very tranquil, (the only sound you are likely to hear is the rolling waves washing up on the beach a few metres away). One of the main rooms has high palm woven ceilings, mahogany furniture, a wall painting of Africa and a large sofa to relax on. The second double enjoys the same sea views and four poster Sultan beds. Flowing mosquito nets, embroidered cushions, potted fan palms and an antique desks make these the most sumptuous rooms of all. Both have en suite Moroccan bathrooms with tadelakt smooth walls, tall open showers, brass basins and exotic floor lamps. The smaller Giraffe room is better suited for children and has the same amenities. There's a small interior living room and upstairs there is a panoramic open sided terrace overlooking the white sands and turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. To the rear of Villa Kikadini is a private garden, with a vast day bed on a bougainvillea shaded pedestal that provides the ideal spot to relax and watch life go by. Dining at Villa Bahati & Villa Kikadini Villa Bahati and Villa Kikadini offers their guests a unique culinary experience in magical surroundings. Don’t expect to see any buffet breakfasts or fancy buffet dinners of any sort, instant coffee machines or juice dispensers, as for the preparation of their daily limited menu, only the freshest ingredients are hand picked by Joseph (the smallest chef in the island), and his meals are excellent, well prepared and most important of all, tasty. Joseph and the kitchen staff are very flexible and prepare their meals with the freshness catch of the day, from fresh calamari, fish, clams and crabs that are prepared to offer you an excellent meal. Along side this you get homemade salads and desserts, all lovingly prepared and presented. One of the nicest things about the location of Villa Bahati and Villa Kikadini is that there are a number of other restaurants within walking distance along the beach, so if you are looking for a new spot to experience the local cuisine just ask Sylvia for recommendations and she will point you in the right direction.Villa Bahati and Villa Kikadini - Tanzania Zanzibar Accommodation
