The lodge boasts 4 luxury suites with magnificent views from both the generous sized bedroom and en-suite bathrooms. Suite facilities include air-conditioning, mini bar, safe, separate bath and shower, outside shower, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. In between exciting dawn and dusk safaris in open Land Rovers, take time to relax and enjoy the central entertainment and dining area, flanked by an inviting swimming pool and bar area. Or you are invited to simply withdraw into the sounds of the African bush on the tanning deck or lazing by the swimming pool. The main deck area continues to provide a further comfortable viewing area to the abundant wildlife whose home is the feature watering hole adjacent to the Lodge.

Area Attractions

Morning game drives After an early wake-up call and a morning snack, you will be driven out into the bush in an open safari vehicle. Thornybush is a private game reserve in the Greater Kruger Area. Certain areas allow for you to embark form the vehicle in search of the cause of the spoor. Afternoon/evening game drives After a high tea, you will hop onto the 4x4 vehicle once again, this time in search of the nocturnal bush life. Various times of the day ensure sightings of differing species, so have your torch handy as you uncover new creatures. Bush walks Escape into the bush on a leisurely walk to learn more about the fauna and flora of the bush, or accompany a ranger and tracker as they follow the tracks left in the sand. Walks allow you to get a closer look at the plants and smaller creatures and listen to the traditional tales behind the plants and trees told by your guide.

R3400.00 per adult per night sharing in a Standard Suite – 50% single supplement

Nightly rates include: accommodation, three meals, dusk and dawn safaris in open vehicles, bush veld walks.
Rates exclude: drinks, items of a personal nature (curio shop, spa, laundry, telephone calls), Conservation Fees of R150.00 per adult per stay, TOMSA levy of R9.00 per person per night. Conservation Fees and TOMSA Levy are to be prepaid with your reservation.

CHILD POLICY:
2 – 5 years: 25% of the adult sharing rate in a Standard Suite
6 – 11 year: 50% of the adult sharing rate in a Standard Suite
Children are welcome at the lodge, however children under the age of six years will not be permitted on game drives.

The lodge reserves the right to restrict one night stays over Weekends and Public Holidays.
