Zuurberg Mountain Village enjoys amazing views over the valleys below it as well as the mountains in the horizon. The fynbos-covered landscape surrounding Zuurberg Mountain Village is part of the Addo Elephant National Park, the third largest national park in South Africa, and a popular malaria-free safari destination.

Less than 90 minutes’ drive from Port Elizabeth and 20 km from the main camp at Addo, the lodge is an ideal base from which to explore reserve which is home to over 600 elephants as well as all other members of the Big Five. This accommodation consists of Edwardian style cottages and the Manor house. The Manor house is part of the original settlement and has 4 en-suite bedrooms.

The 26 Village cottages all enjoy views of the valleys and mountains. Their modern bathrooms have a free standing Victorian bath and outdoor shower. Country cuisine is served at Cycad restaurant and after dinner guests can head over to Woodfields Bar, one of the last genuine English pubs in South Africa, for a night cap. Between game drives relax at the pool or be pampered at the spa.
