Ilha do Fogo covers an area of approximately 44 hectares and has a circumference of more or less 3.5km. It is situated 27km off the coast of mainland Mozambique and forms part of the Primeira Archipeligo. This rare find, a pristine tropical island that is uninhabited has a wrap-around beach and is surrounded by an unspoilt coral reef. Madagascar in the East protects Ilha do Fogo from notorious cyclone alley as well as harsh weather conditions.
